For nearly 40 years, the University of Vermont's College of Education and Social Services (CESS), in collaboration with Vermont supervisory unions and school districts, the VT Agency of Education, and the VT NEA, has recognized outstanding teachers throughout the state in an annual October ceremony. Each supervisory union or school district can nominate one elementary/middle school teacher, one secondary-level teacher, and one technical center teacher, celebrating the accomplishments of Vermont's exceptional educators.
This year’s 44th annual UVM Outstanding Educator Awards was held on Thursday, November 7th in the Grand Maple Ballroom. GEMS & BFA school leaders, the Superintendent, and-- the stars of the evening, FWSU’s Outstanding Educators of the Year, Linnea Jahn & Kate Branon-- all gathered together to celebrate these exemplary individuals' accomplishments and dedication to education.
(And, of course, we made them stand-by for a quick photo-op at this year’s Convocation ceremony, too!)
There are not enough kind works to say about these educators -- they're simply outstanding!
