If you are a regular spectator at BFA Fairfax athletic events, chances are you have experienced the most recent addition to our home game atmosphere in the form of the Maroon Mayhem.
The Maroon Mayhem (a name picked by the students) features fifteen of our high school instrumentalists playing pop and rock hits from Black Sabbath to Taylor Swift. Students have dedicated their Friday mornings at 7:30 to rehearsing, and have so far performed at celebrations for both BFA and Fletcher Elementary students, as well as football and basketball games this school year.
Coming up, they'll be playing at both Senior Night basketball games in February, with an eye toward expanding in the future!
Pep bands like Maroon Mayhem can have a great impact on school spirit. If you were fortunate enough to attend any of the previous events at which they performed, you undoubtedly experienced the positive impact they had on the overall game atmosphere. We encourage you to come join the Maroon Mayhem in supporting BFA Athletics at their next home game appearances at the High School Girls Basketball Senior Night/2023 Athletic Banner Recognition Night on Thursday, February 8 at 7 pm, and High School Boys Basketball and Cheerleading Senior Night on Friday, February 9 at 7 pm!
